THE MARIOL FAMILY - has been in the wine biz for over 100 years operating out of "La Batea" a medieval town in the heart of Terra Alta region of Cataluya.
The Patriarch opened the first winery in 1945 and the latest generation led by Miquel Angel Vaquer and his siblings - has launched a small revolution in packaging and attitude... (no fancy packaging, no vintage focus, no oak & no BS - just good juice at a good price). Ironically they have won European design awards for their simple packaging and represented Spain at the World expo in Shanghai in 2010.

A Provence style rose.
NEGRE [Catalan Red] 20% Carignan, 20% Garnacha + 60% Tempranillo.
Earth, stones and great fruit.
